I'm actually painting!

With regards to my new year's resolutions... since you asked.... I have lost 12 lbs. ! I have painted 5 paintings! and I have my book ready to submit. You would think that I have everything under control. Right? Ha Ha. When have I ever had anything under control?

So here's the trouble....

My diet is at a standstill. It's driving me crazy. I cannot loose anymore weight. It is so frustrating. I ate nothing but vegetables and fruit for 10 days and lost less than 2 lbs. That's not even fair. I know you agree. I've made an appointment with a diet doctor. It's next Tuesday. Good luck to me.

The painting is good. My new studio has inspired me. I am so comfortable in there that I am painting away. I leave it all set up and then I walk in and sit down and just paint. It is wonderful! Truly. I am so thankful to Kevin and God for giving me this wonderful space. The only concern is that I don't know what I want to paint for the Western Maryland Watercolor Society's Spring Show. I need a plan. The show hangs in June. I do have time but I'd feel better having it ready the monthe before.

Now about the book. I don't seem to be mailing it. I actually only need to print it out and put it in the mail. pages are set for the submission, letter is written, etc etc. Why am I not mailing it out. I seriously need a shrink. Does anybody know a good Psychologist?

I have added one of my latest paintings. I've titled it "Driven by Strong Winds". It is watercolor painted on 1/4 sheet watercolor paper.

Let's get serious!

Alright. I have procrastinated long enough. Almost 52 years. There are several things I keep saying I'm going to do so......

This is the year I loose weight. I am now going to eat more vegetables. A LOT more vegetables. I can do this.

I am going to accomplish 40 paintings this year. I can do this. I've finished one so far. A window painting for my mother. She loved it! I painted it while she watched.

I am going to submit the Spanish English counting book that I finished in 2001 to publishers this year! I can do this.

That's the plan. Feel free to ask me every day what I have accomplished with this year's resolutions.

Why am I sitting her?

Well to be honest, I'm sitting here because my sister started a blog and to be a follower, I apparently have to be a blogger also. Why not. I have time. I no longer devote large portions of my day to cleaning out the other mafia families in Mafia Wars or replanting my plentiful farm in Farm Town. So, yes, I have the time.

What I don't seem to find the time for is painting. That's a problem since I am a painter and have people waiting on paintings executed by me. Maybe after Christmas I will find the time.

This weekend my husband, a friend, and friend's husband are travelling to NYC to enjoy the holiday weekend! We will see the Lion King and the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. I am looking forward to the trip.
